The following should answer most other questions about angelhearts.
General All angelhearts are constructed in 'grogged' stoneware and the standard finish is an 'off-white' colour. They are fired to 1260 degrees Celsius. This gives them maximum protection against weathering as the clay has been fired to vitreous temperature. There is a choice between a standard non-smooth surface and various glazes (see below). The latter provides extra protection against weathering which unfortunately is inevitable in the medium to longer term, especially in cooler climates.
Finishes In addition to a 'natural' unglazed finish, angelhearts offers a range of predominantly matt glazes. These are not only designed to give maximum protection against external weather but colours which complement their surroundings. A standard range of glazes is available at no extra charge. See page on finishes.
Turnaround The standard turnaround time is 4-6 weeks for classic hearts and 2-3 weeks for tree hearts, plus postage time. This may seem long, but this is to ensure that the clay dries properly before firing. I can cut down the turnaround time for a surcharge of 30%. Delivery times vary according to country. For example, for the UK add 2 days, for France also add 2 days and for the USA add 4 days. More precise times will be quoted on ordering.
Packaging The standard packing is within a sturdy box and is included in the postage and packing price. Presentation boxes are £9.99extra and are ideal if the heart is a gift.
Payment policy For security and other reasons, we do not yet accept on line payment via credit cards. Payment is by cheque or banker's draft (denominated in sterling), details of which will be given on ordering. Because of the turnaround involved, this need not have a material effect on the overall delivery time.
Lettering As emphasis and wording is specific to each individual's needs I will be only too happy to advise on the arrangement and suitability of lettering styles, so please feel free to discuss your wishes. If you are looking for a particular style be it: inscribed, free hand or in a foreign language: eg, Hebrew or Urdu, please do not hesitate to ask. I shall do my very best to meet your needs.
